Does the cable box have to already be on the channel I want to record off of? I know there is a feature to record shows if you go into the TV Guide on the cable box, so if I use this feature will it record right to my DVR? Thanks for the help! You should be able to put your cable card in the Phillips DVR and it should (theoretically) work like your Sci-Atl box did, but maybe better.
