Streakwave has 500 in stock as of 3pm today. I just called them and they said they have had around 2500 backordered for a few months, so I'm not sure where you got this but they told me it was definitely incorrect. |

Somewhere I read in one of those links or something connected with this thread a day or so ago a mention of a "Picostation" was I reading an error? Nobody else seemed to jump or flinch at the mention of it so perhaps was just an error? Or is Ubnt coming out with yet another unit?
Thanks and please don't take this seriously as it could very well be rumor and nothing more. |

@alter.net | reply to Ketcham I received a call from Echotech Wireless and he told me they had filled the 2500 backordered and had 500 in stock, maybe that is only for existing customers??? |

NS2 is completely different, NS2is all built togather antenna and radio.
pico is just the radio and board with mmcx anntena port. |

What I meant was the specs are the same. Same RF, processor, memory, ect. The component part of the board is very similar.
To answer the original question pico and nano came out about the same time.

| Hey Guys,
PicoStation is a completely different form factor then NanoStation 2. It is about the size of a credit card, and at this time is not released yet. This should hit the market in mid-auguts.
Thanks,

Well at least you said you was wrong.
I own several of of the NS2 radios and the very first one I jerked apart to see what was inside and it clearly is not the same as the Pico.
Sorry if this looks strong to fire back at, but this is why some people stopped posting here and moved onto other sites to post on.
Been waiting for the pico to come out and try. While waiting I have ordered and started playing with the Wiligear WDB500 board. It still is not as small as the pico but close. It's pretty cool so far. Sorry UBNT but get your stuff on the market and make it right! |

Not strong, just misunderstanding. I was trying to make a quick statement I thought people would understand. I was wrong about not being released yet. I included a close up so everyone can see with their own eyes. The form factor may be different, but guts and specs are nearly the same. Dont be so literal by my initial statement, read it and put some thought behind it. Obviously they are physically different placed side by side.
