If the connection between the Vista machine and the access point is using WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK with a good passphrase value, then there's not much to worry about. The printer's really on the wired LAN and the only way it communicates to the Vista machine is through the wireless connection, which is already secured.
WPA, of course, only secures the connection between the station and AP. Online banking and such involves traffic that goes beyond the router (to the ISP and then the Internet). SSL usually takes care of that. |
