Auto-following forums -- how to restart after absence?

I'm not sure whether this is simply a question or a bug report, but thought I'd post it here for starters, giving the site the benefit of the doubt.

I've been away from the site for a few months, and when I now go to my "followed threads" page, it's empty and says that nothing has been updated since I've last seen it.

I know that threads that are automatically followed will eventually fall off the other end of the followed list if they're not opened within a specific amt of time, but shouldn't there be some threads still showing? In the actual forums the threads have the little yellow star that indicates they're being followed, but they're not showing up on the followed page.

So, if this is a feature, and once a person has been away for a certain amt of time their followed threads are removed from the list, how do I go about restarting that, since as far as the threads are concerned they're already being followed? And, if this is actually a bug, please move.

Thanks.

I'm not sure I know the answer, but I'm going to take a guess. I'm guessing that "followed threads" means "threads followed within X days of your last known visit". If that's the case, then the threads should start accumulating there now that you're back.

Just a guess.

That sounded good and reasonable, so I hung out for a bit, waiting to see whether simply time would resolve the issue, but new threads have been started since my return, and while the yellow star indicates that I'm following them, they do not show up on my "followed" list.

The only thing that has shown up for me was your reply to this thread, so the list itself works fine, I just need to figure out how to redirect the auto-followed threads back onto it.

Thanks.

sashwa See Profile also suggested that I unsubscribe and resubscribe as well, and that appears to have taken care of it.
