Free WOW HD Channels

I've noticed on my HDTV, I receive 5 free HD channels. Is this normal and also should I be receiving more? The channels are # 200-206 and include channels such as ABC, FOX, WGN, U Network. I live in Illinois. Are there more HD channels or are these the only free ones?

You should also get others, such as TNT HD, Discovery HD, etc. You should get everything under high definition on WOW's channel lineup (not including HD pak)... go to this link:

You are currently getting the correct channels, the extra channels mentioned by jmr are only available to subscribers with Wow! HD boxes and are not offered for free.

Aren't they offered for free if you have an ATSC tuner?

Only the locals are free OTA (ATSC). You need a QAM tuner to pic up channels off of WOW, or any cable company for that matter.

There is no law requiring it. Most tv providers don't pick up any of the subchannels.

Anyway to talk to wow cust service into giving me the extra HD channels stated on wows site? (TNT ESPN etc)
The wow tech gave us a hdtv dvr (I guess wow corp thinks its a reg box because when I call they say the only way to get the hd channels is to get the hdtv box($12))
So I dont want to tell the cust service we already have a hd dvdr and have them charge us an extra $12...
I only get all the local channels and Starz in hdtv through the box. (TNT ESPN etc say Im not authorized)
thx

All the locals will come free over analog; you will only be able to receive TNT, Discovery, etc if you have a digital box (at least Digital Value). As it is, Digital Value is cheaper than basic cable (analog) so I don't see why you would just have basic cable anyway.
