| Airport wifi and dslreports
I am sitting in Honolulu Airport using the shakanet wifi access without paying. All sites except dslreports redirect to the login page (i.e. pay up). But I am certain that the dslreports site works fine without payment. I wonder why......

| It's probably on a whitelist. For example, if the login page for the hotspot requires an SSL connection, ideally your browser should be allowed to look up the certificate revocation list somewhere on the Internet as specified in the portal's cert, just in case the signing authority revoked it. |
