@telus.net | Where to set access control (Similar to Parental Control)
Hi
Is there a way to do an access control on any computer connected wireless on my Seimens SE567? (e.g., setting access time allowing connection from this time to that time)
Thanks |

| I don't believe the Siemens has that option... The 2wire unit does.
If you look under: Advanced settings administration users
Does it have the option for time of day access control, content, and computer? If it does you might be able to do it there!
Edit: additional information. |

| the 2wire's access control does not go away, and it does indeed work fine.. it's website blocking does not work and it goes away after being plugged in for a day or so. -- I may work for, but do not necessarily represent the views and beliefs of TELUS Communications. |

| n/p I only know because I have any and all computers connected to my network set to block all access by default until I specifically go in and allow them. Even after you get my encryption key there's no access. -- I may work for, but do not necessarily represent the views and beliefs of TELUS Communications. |

Even after you get my encryption key there's no access. This is may be a stupid question. If you block all computers on your network, how would you access 192.168.1.254 (2wire/siemens) to switch the computer to accessible? |

| settings page | devices that have been connected an their current settings |
I should have specified... all new computers/devices. I have block set as the default. Once a computer has the network key and attempts to access anything, the parental control page comes up. At that point you can allow access with another code for up to 15 or 30 minutes. Once you've entered that you can go to the settings page and change it for that computer, to permanently allow it.
You can also change the setting from another, previously authorized computer once the new one has been connected once. -- I may work for, but do not necessarily represent the views and beliefs of TELUS Communications. |
