dslx_gm : Hi Dust_er,

From what you described it sounds as though the issue you are experiencing is more of a network issue rather than a line issue. When you lost your connection what is the status of the lights on the DSL modem?

If it is in fact a network issue on their end then when switching to DSLExtreme you would not experience the issue. If it is a line issue since we utilize the same phone line you may still have an issue. We would of course be very proactive in working with you and AT&T to help get any issue resolved.

Thanks
--
George
General Manager
DSL Extreme
Will work for reviews. ;)

Questions before switching to DSL Extreme

Dust_er : Hi, I'm current an Earthlink (EL) DSL member. My phone company is AT&T. I've recently moved to a new home and EL is no longer providing me, even close, to the speed I'm paying for. The problem I have now is that every time I use my home phone, the DSL disconnects. And it is very slow and in order to get connected and go online, I must manually configure IP, gateway, DNS server numbers in the modem.
My questions are:
1) Do I need to call AT&T to have them check on my phone line to make sure there's no problem internally with the line, before I sign up with DSL Extreme?
2) I'm in 92069 zipcode, how far am I away from DSL Extreme server, and estimately how solid can the speed possibly is with 6 MB order?
Thank you guys.
