Will if more user new more about the tech and the shit they pull off more people would be bitching. This bit with BELL you see now is just a start hopefully to the customers seeing the shit ISPS pull off. Canadians would be even more pissed off if they new how much they were be taken for a ride, especially when compared to other countrys.

What people don't understand is that if people were just left to download everything they want, nobody would be surfing, everyone would get 512kbps speeds - why is that better?

Heres a DSL service from nidram.uk for £14.50 per month:

Up to 8Mb Download†, up to 448Kb Upload
25GB Transfer Allowance Policy unlimited off peak ('Transfer Allowance Policy' for Peak Time transfer allowance - this applies to data transferred between the hours of 8am and Midnight, seven days a week. Once the allowance is hit, users will still be able to connect - but limited to 64Kbps transfer rate. Any data transferred between Midnight and 8am does not count towards the Data Transfer Allowance.)

So how bad are Canadian ISP's...really - would you want a transfer policy like that?

 Compare Canadas with any nordic nation or even south korea. We are talking 100mbit and in spots testing of 1gigabit lines to the home. Even the americans have it better then us with their 50/25/20/15 fios. UK/AU from what ive last seen are also in poor shape..
