Question on DOCSIS 3.0

I know that some of you in this forum watch the cable industry pretty closely and in light of some of the news on DOCSIS 3.0, I'm wondering when you think WideOpenWest may go to DOCSIS 3.0. I'm sure this is not inexpensive to do so in light of this, and with Comcast talking about making it available to 20% of their systems by year end, is WOW! going to migrate as well or do you think we're going to be on an older version of DOCSIS for a while to come?

It's unlikely that WOW will jump on the DOCSIS 3.0 bandwagon as fast as Comcast is, simply because WOW doesn't have the capital that Comcast does. But, I'm sure WOW is looking into it and trying to budget for it in the future as the need arises.

WoW is actually in a good position right now - with the economy the way it is, WoW's price advantage is leveraged against Comcast.

What version of DOCSIS is WOW! currently using, if any?

1.1, and I think they have some 2.0 cards working. There isn't enough difference between 1.1 and 2.0, so they didn't feel like wasting the cash on it. Now 3.0 will be a big jump.
