A solution for Gigaset SE567 on port forwarding and DMZ

Gigaset SE567 is useless. It does not allow me to forward any ports. I been reading several posts on this website and on google, and there is still no solution for this. i called Telus several times and that went no where. Apparently, they do not support this at all. Do not even try contacting Siemens because they are useless as well. One rep told me to visit dslreports for a solution but i told him that everyone on that website is having the same problem as me.

So does anyone know a solution for this?

Has anyone tried bridging with another router?

is it possible to install another firmware over this? if so, please give me a link.

If you have a decent stand alone DSL modem and a router then go with that, I'd ditch Siemens.
Sorry I didn't spend enough time fiddling around with it to see if I could bridge or flash it but Google's your friend.

The firmware used on the Siemens is a custom version for Telus specifically. Siemens won't be able to help since they aren't familiar with the specific configuration for each of the providers using their modems.

What are you trying to use port forwarding to do? Game console? p2p?

wierd, I'm able to forward posts for my Xbox 360. All I did was went to Address Translation under Internet and a option for port fowarding is there.

I am trying to forward these ports for my playstation three.

TCP:
* 80
* 443
* 5223

UDP:
* 3478
* 3479
* 3658 should also be opened for voice chat.

I have even enabled DMZ for my ps3 (ip) and it still does not work. I have no firewalls installed on my computer and my windows firewall is disabled as well.

I have even followed the guide from www.portforward.com. I called Telus several times and they do not support this product. Neither does Siemens. What should I do?

Well that could be your problem. Port 80 is always going to be blocked since it's blocked even before it gets to you. Try using an alternate port for 80.

I too have the Siemen and I cannot access certain features on my PS3 even though I tried everything such as port forwarding and DMZ. I swapped it with a Thompson but my upload stream is only 520kbps on the Thompson. However, I am researching it on how to flash it to get better speeds.

The newest playstation 3 firmware update has made their compatibility with the Siemens questionable. On the playstation.com forums there are people complaing about it.
