| just got shaw internet, can't play online game, nor music
whats happening, im in jasper alberta and i just got the shaw internet. when i get into a game of quake 2 i it just freezes every 3 seconds and gives me the phone jack symbol(means problem with internet connection) streaming music stops after a few seconds of playing. downloads doesnt seem bad. its 9pm. the cable guy said shaw is 3 times faster then telus dsl.
whats happening, this is bs. |

If you are using Shaw Secure the results will be screwed though. If using XP you can open the Task Manager and click on the network tab to watch the actual download.

Alberta | Jasper is small and odds of node saturation are also small.
i would suspect something else... possible bad signal, a fire wall issue maybe? or possibly an issue with your PC. |
