Three guys, a Cajun, a Texan and an Arkansan are out walking together one day. They came across a lantern and a Genie popped out of it."I will give each of you one wish. That's three wishes total," said the Genie.

The Cajun says, "I am a farmer, my dad was a farmer, and my son will also farm. I want the land to be forever fertile in Lousiana. "With a blink of the Genie's eye, 'POOF',the land in Lousiana was forever made fertile for farming.

The Texan was amazed, so he said, "I want a wall around Dallas, so that no one can come into our precious state. "Again, with a blink of the Genie's eye,'POOF', there was a huge wall around Dallas.

Now, The Arkansan said "I'm very curious. Please tell me more about this wall." The Genie explained, "Well, it's about 15,000 feet high, 500 feet thick, and completely surrounds the greater metroplex. Nothing can get in or out---virtually impenetrable."

The Arkansan thought for a minute and said,...

"FILL IT WITH WATER."

It wasn't that no one would post -- us Central Texans are just a little laid back. Others would call us slow. How else is it that the Central Texas forum has been shut down for about a year now and it just got posted about!

Just wait -- nother year and some other un'll notice!

I believe it was closed around the time I posted. I had it as a favorite and noticed that it was now in the old forums. Last post in the forum was three months ago.

edit:
July 3rd, @01:02AM

It was and still is in my favorites also. The forum was locked about last October. I have no idea how the poster slipped in that post in March, but I tried to respond within hours and the thread was already locked. The forum disappeared into old forums last year. I was one of the regular posters and have not had access since almost a year ago.

[edit] Going back and looking at some posts in other forums and I believe that it was between Christmas and New Years when we became "old". Our MOD was 2kmaro See Profile and he retired about that time. No one was assigned to take his place and we were retired also!

See this thread for the retirement announcement for Dallas/Fort Worth. That's when it happened.

»Hey! Did I miss the announcement?
