Re: Yes I have a comment....

Thats only if you pay the $300 upfront fee, otherwise it's $209.99! Most people would call it highway robbery.

I think the 500Mb daily cap would be the bigger issue for me though. Back when I had DirecWay, they advertised speeds up to 1800 down, which is/was fast enough for general web browsing. But I couldn't download a windows service pack without exceeding the daily limits.

Very, very true. I just downloaded almost 3 gigs from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace yesterday.

I'll stick with my 8/2 Comcast connection for $43/month.

500 MB a day = 14.65 GB a month. And people complain about possible 250 GB caps from cable

We know that, DUH, the price is still ridiculous for what it is.

And I'm sure there are some who think $57 for 8Mb traffic shaped/capped service is ridiculous.

It's SRS and those prices are in line for SRS. No one is making subs buy a $180 plan just like they're not making subs buy Verizons $140+ plans or $400/mo T1s.

What makes even less since is that most cell phone data plans have a 5 GB cap. Its not like cell phone companies are launching satellites. And to make matters worse EV-DO rev a is faster by far. Before one of you say you don't get EV-DO as your primary home connection. Keep in mind that is exactly what Alltel sold me with a router. And all of you that do have data plans as well as your home broadband connection I would think you would like to see the 5 GB cap higher. I am hopeful that the FCC will make Verizon and all cell provider increase the cap if they approve the Alltel purchase. and hopefully it will be at least 6 times higher. The higher the caps of the slower broadband alternatives the higher caps will have to be on true broadband services should they ever be implemented.

People complained about not knowing the cap they get told what the caps are up front and still complain. Thats the DSLR way around here. Havent you noticed that? They're not happy either way and believe the companies should cater to what ever they want to do online because of course $40 per month for 8/800 is too much. We'll we should get ATT, VZ and Comcast to roll back the speeds to the way they were when HSI first came out and then let people bitch about the prices.

"We'll we should get ATT, VZ and Comcast to roll back the speeds to the way they were when HSI first came out and then let people bitch about the prices."--- That's a great idea *IF* the federal government didn't give them billions of our tax dollars for them to increase the infrastructure --- that they still yet to give to the consumer.
