Wireless router LED

well i kinda have a problem with my wireless router. it is a motorolla wr850g and for some reason every 20 minutes the led for modem on the wireless router flashes to red and when that happens i get disconnected from the internet. I called motorolla but they have stopped giving technical support over the phone and their troubleshooting guide is useless as well. i was hoping someone on here could help me.

does the modem itself stay online during this disconnect?
