Hey all, I just signed up for dslextreme because of all the good reviews they had here. I'm currently with Verizon but they raised the price on me. Had a 768/128 plan. I'm going with dslextreme 3000/768 plan. Hopefully I can dl at a decent pace with this. I had a question regarding my modem/router. I currently have a westell model 327w B90 Rev.D modem/router. I didn't see this modem on your approved list for modems. I spoke with a salesperson and he said there might be issues connecting to your network with this modem. Is this true? I chose not to receive a modem from your company. I hope I didn't make the wrong decision. Also, regarding cancelling with Verizon. I read somewhere on this forum to cancel with Verizon after my line with dslextreme was activated. When I do call Verizon, do I tell them to cancel my account or tell them that my account has already been transferred to dslextreme? |

The Westell modem should work but it will need to be configured with our settings instead of Verizon settings.
When you cancel with Verizon let them know that it is ONLY the internet service you want to cancel and not phone service. I don't think it will matter to them if you have our service or not. -- Zak
