The flooding up here is a sight to see. Went from the winter of (near?) snowfall records to a summer of record flooding. Amazing way to cap off my first year up here. Maybe I'm just bad luck?

In Marion everything is on and going strong. Downtown Cedar Rapids is now without all utilities from what I hear. Only the bridge on 13 and one lane of 380 is open across the river. We're effectively cut off from the SE part of town. I have a funeral to go to on Saturday afternoon 20 miles away from here that I might have to leave on Friday to make it on time to
