Things in Cedar Rapids have gone from bad to worse. I tried calling four family members there and all had busy signals. One of the water treatment plants is under water and thus water supply has been reduced by 75%. Alliant is losing the battle to keep power on to downtown. Mercy hospital may have to move patients soon. The Qwest headquarters is flooded. A railroad bridge collapsed today. I-380 is being closed today to Hwy 30 except for emergency personal. |

| Since I-80 is being closed and the detour will be highway 30 they have reopened I-380 but one lane in each direction must remain clear for emergency vehicles.
Imon is down. Qwest DSL is down in many areas. I believe phone service if ok. I just called home to Marion.

Saint Louis, MO | Qwest DSL is supposed to be down for the entire eastern half of the state for the next 24 to 48 hours. No effect on phone service. |

St Luke's and Mercy have both lost power and steam and are in the process of evacuating to UIHC. UIHC is trying to speed up discharges in anticipation of the influx from those two hospitals. |
