The United Nations calls human trafficking the "world's fastest growing criminal business" and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) estimates that as many as two million women and children are trafficked around the world each year in a business worth $10 billion.
Unfortunately, wherever you have poverty and war, you have people desperate and willing to do anything. Maybe instead of going after ISPS, we should be working to help the people who are at risk of becoming victims. That's too difficult... so let's pretend blocking it (out of site out of mind) works. |
