Wireless Computers Can't Connect to SE567 Sometimes

I don't get why sometiems when I turn my laptop on I can't connect to my own wireless gateway. Samething happens to my Xbox 360, sometimes it won't connect to the internet, I have to shut off my Gateway and turn it back on. Why is this happening? Is my Gateway broken? I have 2 laptops, Xbox 360, and 2 Nintendo DS that connects wirelessly to it.

Are your devices not connecting to the gateway, or are they connecting to the gateway but not to the Internet?

Change the wireless channel the wireless gateway is using. Something like 3 or 4 is usually good.

aren't the 3 clearest channels 1,6 and 11? 6 is usually no good because most wireless networks will be set to that by default to 1 and 11 would be the best.

use 2wire modem instead of SE567, that modem ( siemens ) came from china.. no wonder there are a lot of issues...

Siemen's plant in Nanjing, China
You obviously have either never been to China or have not been there for 15+ years. Siemen's is far from a poor manufacturer of goods. Putting a manufacturing plant in China is just good business planning and doesn't jeopardize quality if you maintain standards.

In fact.. some of the plants are more complex and better designed than in other countries.

The 2wire is made in Malaysia if you weren't aware.

The Siemen's wireless signal sucks, my sister seems to have trouble connecting with her laptop as well. You could buy a range booster which might help but I got them to swap me with a Speedtouch and I used my own router. However, the upload on my Speedtouch caps at 520kbps which sucks.
