[Xtreme] Just got DSL Extreme 6

Questions I got;

why does my download speed on the test sometimes go to 6.4k KBPS? it says my line downstream is 8200 or somethign KBPS, could this be it?

anyway I am wondering is this service a stand alone DSL service? I currently dont have phone service with AT&T but I got phone service with another provider.

I am asking this because I am thinking about getting Magic Jack phone service which works off the internet www.magicjack.com

6.0 means around 6.0 not exactly 6.0. Is this the first time in the history of the internet that someone has complained that their connection is too fast? LOL

As for magicjack.com, why is there a free trail for something thats free? Maybe you have to pay for the equipment(if you decide to use it after the trial) but not the service?

its like $19.95 a year, you have to pay $39.95 to purchase the device. Why its a free trial.

But I questioning if I got rid of my phone service would it interrupt my DSL?
