 [Thunderbird] Keeps asking for password

I have been using thunderbird to connect to gmail it's set up for my mom.. Ok so I put in the password and click on save to remember.. all will go well until a few weeks or days later a message will pop up telling me to enter in the password again anyone know how to stop this?

I would open up the password manager in Tb and delete the username/password for both incoming/outgoing to reset it.

Send a dummy email to trigger the PM and reenter the info.

Password may have been corrupted from an update.

Could also be a server problem from your ISP.

For pop3 I was asked twice also. It is standard.

Once when sending and again when receiving email.

Just click the box to have Tb Password manager remember them.

Tb is retaining your username/password and if it is Gmail then Google IMO is to blame.

On occasion I have that issue with my ISP. Rare but it does happen. I do not change anything and let the ISP clear up the issue.
