I hop not, I was just on my laptop theis afternoon & D?L 15MB of data to get my wife's laptop updates by Microsoft,ESET,Firefox & Sprint up to date.

Now when I have the chance this AM to get on, when no one else should be on. I get wimpy KB service. It will log on to Sprint, but the service is so weak, I can't pull up a home page using IE.6.0 or Firefox.

It could also be you may have a program (firewall / anti-virus / other auto-updating program) that is occasionally downloading from the net for short periods of time which will have the affect of increasing your latency (do a ping test while downloading a large file, you may see it go up drastically). I've recently tracked down a program doing the same thing to me (I play MMORPG games, currently Age of Conan).

As for speed tests, here's a few that I'm getting.



These speeds are a LOT better than I was seeing only a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if I should attribute this to the leaves that are now on the trees here or if Sprint upgraded the tower I'm hitting, but I used to have to force-connect to an Alltel tower to get these speeds (I force-connected by unplugging my antenna and watching the ##DEBUG screen as it searched for a tower to connect to). I still drop to 1xRTT once in a while though, but not as much as it used to.

Most likely you only have one T1 on your tower and somebody else is on with you downloading 24/7. My normal DL is 1200 but at times it dips to 800 just as yours does. It is not Sprints fault as we all know the large bandwidth users are impacting all ISP providers. Hopefully the 5GB cap will help some.

Looks like the hogs uh high bandwidth users have taken over your tower. :D

If mine is at 20 % my speeds suck ASS 40 percent and up its usualy great

My speeds are little slow rite now because im only going to 10 and 20

Hince why i want to get a better antenna and hope for the best .If not guess ill just keep trying to find the best spot to put it .

My guess is there are a few band hogs doing large downloads.
Its a real pain in the ass. I will edit this post later today and display my results for a record.

I was just getting like 300 download and 30 upload.Then i started moving my antenna around out side and finaly got up to 60% my speeds been averageing near 1000 and above ever since plus my uploads have been above 300 most of the time.

At night mine absolutely flies. I've gotten speeds of about 2500 down at night. My pings are actually lower than shown For some reason Speedtest 7doesn't get the pings right. I test them through the CMD prompt and enerally get 80-120ms pings. On our flight server I get 80ms pings solid every time.

My upload usually stays about the same as shown though. It has went up in the last couple months. I was getting right at around 300 up, but now it stays above that. I usually see 350 during the day, and around 400 in the late evenings now. It doesn't change as much. The download is what really flies at night.
