| Yes, no additional cost over the 8800/768 tier I signed for. We do have Verizon FIOS internet/phones available here and the word is we'll also have Verizon FIOS TV 3rd to 4th quarter 2008. When that happens, it will be interesting to see how the prices compare for 3 in 1 packages between Comcast and Verizon.

Chicago, IL | Lucky for you there is something else. Im only about 8 miles from Downtown Chicago and there's Comcast, Dialup or that hiddeous alternate way of surfing the net called Satellite. My sister lives about a mile a way and she got AT&T DSL. |

The Fios rollout has not quite reached my house yet, but until they have TV here, it won't be a single wire replacement for cable.
THEN (as sortofageek implied) once you have a choice, you have to compare how each might fit YOUR needs.
FIOS will not/may not be right for everyone.

I have no complaints about my current service except I would like to pay less. Once Verizon offers TV and I get assurance their services are up to par in my area, as Comcast's are, I will look at cost comparisons for packages offered. I see no reason to change anything at this point.
YMMV, of course. It is a personal choice and it is actually possible for people to choose differently and remain within the realm of sanity.
