| Email program suddenly stopped receiving WB mail
Has anyone had trouble with their non web based email programs not downloading any mail from wildblue's servers? It has been working just fine the last month or two since they changed over to gmail but for some reason I am NOT receiving any email in windows mail(vista stock program) anymore from wildblue. I had 2 accounts set up in the program for wildblue and gmail. The last week i've been checking my mail but I wasn't getting anything. I figured I just wasn't getting any email and left it at that.
After a week of not getting a single email, except the WB "your bill is ready" email that is linked to my gmail account, I decided to use the webmail and check it there. Low and behold I had about 30 new emails just sitting in my inbox. I went and looked at my account settings in windows mail and it was all the same as it was when it was working. I double checked the settings on webmail to ensure the pop3 was enabled and all that and it was. I am just not getting my mail from wildblue anymore but I AM getting it from gmail side which is odd because in my accounts window I only see the WB one. The Gmail account has vanished. Like I said earlier, all the settings for that account are right but I'm getting my gmail instead.
I asked about this shortly after they switched to gmail but I'll say it again. Both my WB and Gmail accounts use the EXACT same userID and Password. I asked before if this would cause conflicts and everyone said I was fine. A few of you even had the same situation. It was working just fine... I don't know what happened. The only thing I can think of to do is delete/remove the 1 account remaining(WB) and create both accounts again. This was a P.I.T.A to get working in the first place after the switch to gmail so I am trying to avoid this. Anyway I was just curious if anyone else is has/have/had this problem and what they did to fix it. -- Vista Ultimate 64bit, 4gb G.Skill DDR2 800mhz, Athlon X2 6400+ Black Edition, 2x Diamond HD3870 512mb DDR4 PCIe2.0 (xfire), 650w PSU, 2x 200gb HDD, Antec 900 Gaming Case |
