dibbb : How do you turn a "setup" program into an MSI that can be deployed automatically via AD?

For example, I have application.exe that I need to have installed on 100 PC's on my W2K3 AD network (XP clients). When I manually install application.exe, I always select particular options, click next, next, OK. for example.

I want to package that into an MSI (I guess), so that I can either just run the MSI to install it without having to go through the prompts, or even better, have AD install it for me through Group Policies.

I have searched around, found a lot of stuff online, but almost too much stuff, where I'm a little overwhelmed.

So, what have you guys done in this area that works well for you?

Thanks!
