[Vista] Binding keys to volume contol?

There was a thread about this previously: »Hot key volume control in Vista?
I tried that, but it doesn't work for me either. Plus it doesn't work right with higher DPI.
I want to bind WinKey+'+' to volume up and WinKey+'-' to volume down. Any way to do this?

I have used a reg hack to remap my caps lock to a Windows Key on my Thinkpad. However, I see that the site I got the info from says it doesn't work on Vista. According to them there is a tool which is supposed to work on Vista, but I don't know if it will do what you want. Here it is: »www.randyrants.com/sharpkeys/

There is also some info there on AutoHotKey which may help.

AutoHotKey seems to work, but it's a PITA to use, and will seemingly randomly stop working.
I have this:

I'd like to be able to use my mouse wheel as well, but I don't know how to make that work with repetition.
