| Winrar key file in Vista X64?
I have a valid rarreg.key file that works fine on my XP system. When I install it in C:\Program Files (x86)\WinRAR nothing happens and it continues displaying the 40 day trial license. It's the same version on both systems, it is the key for this version (3.71). Any idea why it isn't working/what I'm doing wrong? |

| reply to Maranello Its a file protection in Vista preventing winrar.exe from seeing the change. You have to copy the rarreg.key to the desktop first, then you can drag it from the desktop to the Winrar folder. Vista will pop up an "are you sure" box. The next time you start Winrar it will be registered. |
