| Latency when maxing download / upload...
Is there a QoS setting on the Actiontec that can improve latency when download or upload speed is being maxed? Cause when you max down/up it will cause a network wide latency increase (pretty much normal for any network).
Video showing what I mean, average ping to yahoo for example is 8-9ms when not maxed and in the 40s when maxed.

1 edit | There may be a QoS setting for that (can't help too much, don't have FiOS), unless you have a program that can rate limit things like an FTP client or a download manager. Otherwise, a ping of 40 isn't bad at all. It's bad when it starts to creep past 100ms, maybe even past 300ms. |

Not only that but if your bandwidth is saturated, either up or down, there's no way to get around the impact -- it's the nature of TCP/IP. For every packet sent, there's a wait until the ACK is received. If the network is too saturated for a quick response, all your network traffic will be slowed. |
