[TWC] {NEO} PBS Sprout in what package?

We had our channel lineup change, and I was glad to see the addition of PBS Sprout. That channel worked right after the transistion, but a few days later, it now says I need to call sales to get it activated.

What package does it belong to? I have looked at the "local" pricing pamphlets that are online, but their package names don't match what is on my bill. According to my bill, I have some "Digital Value" package, with Digital Tier and HD Tier. I was told this meant all the digital channels, except the obvious premiums such as movies, PPV, and sports packs.

Why don't I get this ONE channel of the 10 or so kids channels?

I thought I would at least ask here first, in case someone had some insight, before I try to call TWC.

TIA for any input.

Last I checked it was still around and working as of a couple days ago. In the NEO area here as well with the basic digital package.

Just a rough guess, but have you tried rebooting the box to see if it came back in? I had a similar case happen in opposite when we first got our Mystro HD box and all of the premium movie channels were unlocked until a forced reboot and then they all returned to the usual 'call in and order this channel' message. Managed to get a few HD movies recorded in that time that I've never seen. >>

Otherwise, you can always call up CS and see if they can't be of any help as it is, indeed, an odd case. And I don't think Sprout was ever destined for a special pay-for tier past the digital service requirement.

I swear, some people should have pace-makers installed to free up the resources. Breathing and heart beat taxes their whole system, all of their brain cells wasted on life support.-two bit brains, and the second bit is wasted on parity! ~head_spaz

Yeah, I did try unplugging the box and plugging back in to get a reboot. No change.

I realize it is a new channel, but I found it hard to believe that they would not include just that one with the other digital kids channels.

I guess I'll have to call CS to get them to ping the box.

(I don't know about NY, but this channel was added during the realignment. # 108 I believe)

Here's a followup on my situation, after I finally got around to calling TWC.

It seems that Sprout, Boomerang, and Nick2 were all added under the "Family Tier", and were not considered included in whatever package I had. (When I signed up, I was assured that I would get all digital channels, except obvious premiums. I guess that was true, except for added channels). I could add the Family Tier (which in this case only added those 3 channels to my lineup), for an extra $5/month.

After quickly surmising that the person who had answered the phone was unwilling or unable to help, I asked to be elevated to someone who can.

So, here I will give kudos to the next person on the line. He was very helpful, listened to me, and genuinely acted like he wanted to help reach a reasonable solution with me. After some time, he concluded that he could put me in a new package, that got all the kids channels, plus all the movie channels, for only $2/month more. The pricing would be good for a year. (By the way, I was already bundled with internet and phone). I agreed, and feel like it was a good compromise.

Now, if they can just get my on-demand working.....

I'm in Akron and I have NickToo but not Sprout or Boomerang. weird... I called TW and the rep told me that all the 'blue' channels on the new guide (she didn't have it in front of her, go figure) are an additional $5/mo.

»www.twclineup.com/ should have the information for anyone in NEO/WPA

HD on demand does not work in the former Adelphia areas. Works some of the time in SC. Try rebooting your box, sometimes that will make the sd on demand worl for awile.

In the NEO division, when they did the channel re-alignment they shipped new guides with "blue" colored channels on them. These were labeled "Choice Tier $5.00/month." NEO did not start enforcing this new tier until recently. Choice Tier includes PBS Sprout, 2 other cartoon stations, DIY ch 158, Fine Living ch 159, and 2 or 3 faith/religious channels.

I mention this because service calls have jumped considerably due to this, and the call center not having a clue what is going on.
