| Starband cluster 51 upgrade issues alert
Heads up.
Over the past week or more starband has been upgrading Nova 1000 and Pro customers on Cluster 51 with new parameters. Normally this is a seamless to the user process. The Modem has 2 parameter storage areas, A & B.
The way SB upgrades is they will begin loading the B memory on modems in stages over the course of a few days. Then a command is issued telling the modems to load the contents of B into A. usually done in the very late evenings.
On some modems this has not worked for one reason or another. Symptom is Just the PWR light is on.
Customers need to go into skymanage ( 192.168.1.1 from your browser) and enter the installer section.
Below are the previous parameters followed by the new parameters with the changed parameters in BOLD. Your screen may actually show the correct info but all will not be well unless you double check each entry and then hit submit at the top of the page. Once you get a success confirmation, power down the modem and boot it back up. All should be well
Remember that your VSAT ID is unique to your account so record that and make sure it is entered correctly if you go changing parameters on the installer screen. In the examples below i have XXX'd it out.
