free.grisoft.com offline?

I've been unable to connect to »free.grisoft.com today. Hopefully it's temporary, maybe a server issue on the 'free.' server. I see no mention of AVG 7.5 on the main site either. Is the end here?

I was able to get there from your link just now.

I've gotten notices that there will be no more updates to AVG 7.5 after May 31st, so you either have to upgrade to 8.0, or find another AV as it isn't good to run out of date definitions.

My parents have AVG free and the other day got a message about them not supporting 7.5 past this month. AVG's site had something that said that was wrong and support was going to be given until the end of the year. Not taking any chances, I grabbed 8.0 from CNET and upgraded them.
Here is the actual link I used for my parents upgrade

Me Too!

I get "Internal Error D" when attempting to go to the site.

I got a reminder that 7.5 is no longer supported after 31 May and they wanted me to update, but I said later.

The two must be connected.

I'll update on the next reminder.

Ken

ok well now the site's working for me. isn't that just the way it always is... Anyway, I've tried 8.0 and found it to be pretty crappy. I like how 7.5 is a low-resource app, 8.0 wants to do a lot of things in addition to running AV (an IE link checker comes to mind), all of which use memory. I like AVG, but if they insist on forcing these additional processes, I guess I'll have to look elsewhere for good free protection. Before I ask, I'll just start perusing this forum for good alternatives
