[Tweak Test] Looking to tweak my connection

Here are my test results:

»/tweakr/block:···terpppoe

Unfortunately, I have absolutely no clue what any of them mean. I just upgraded from 10 megs to 16, and want to try and push the most out of my connection as possible. Any help is appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to some responses.

- Matt

Sorry about that. Here is some more information for you. Oh, and for the record, I can not find a way to make my computer pingable. I've tried lowering my firewall, and even adding all of the necessary host's to the trusted zone. I have a WGR614v9 Netgear router, which I believe to be the problem.

1) »/tweakr/block:···terpppoe
2) 15,856 kb/s (download), 1,931 kb/s (upload) - Ping: 29 ms
3) »/linequality/nil/2382625
4) 16 Mbps DSL with Charter. Modem: Scientific Atlanta DPC2100R2
5) I'm always connected to the internet, so I am not sure if this applies or not.
6) See above.
7) WinXP Pro 2002
8) Just upgraded to 16 mbps
9) No
10) WGR614v9 Netgear router
11) 9.3 miles away from the CO.

Your speeds are pretty good as is. We can try a little tweak to see if there is anymore in that line ..

Download DrTcp

Set Tcp Receive Window to 128480

Set Selective Acks, Path MTU Discovery, Black Hole Detection to Default.

Leave Max Duplicate Acks and TTL Blank

Save/Exit DrTcp

Reboot

Rerun the Tweak Test

Run Two Speed Tests from the two DIFFERENT cities nearest to you that are listed here: Speakeasy POPs

Also, test here »ftp://ftp1.optonline.net/test512

Note your transfer rate after about 30 seconds. Then cancel the download.

Post the URL for the New Tweak Test. For the TWO Speakeasy Tests, Copy and Paste the speed results from those tests and note the speed from the FTP download test.
