Is my spyware protection overkill?

I have Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, Spyware Blaster, and Super Anti-Spyware installed. Is this overkill, can you have too much protection and is there one program that will take care of it all?

Thanks in advance

I don't see anything wrong with that. I only have SpywareBlaster and Super Anti-Spyware. Don't like the new Ad-Aware and Spybot takes forever and maxes out my CPU.

You have quite an arsenal of AS progs but do you have a good AV and a firewall (either software or hardware or both)?

I hope you've read through all the info in the Security Forum FAQs, especially this one if you're in doubt about your computer's security: »Security »How to Secure (and Keep Secure) My (New) Computer(s): A Layered Approach:

Thanks for the responses. I do have anti-virus and firewall protection (PC Tools).

Most people have two or more of the free anti-spyware apps installed so you're ok, but I would recommend a better AV for detection rates and as long as you're augmenting your PCTools AV with online scans somewhere else then it's all good.

When I used to use windows I rarely got spyware on my system. Prevention is much better than the cure. I suggest you use sandoxie it will stop spyware getting on your system.
