Are you using the del utility to manage the wireless connection or windows. The Dell utility is flakey.

Make sure you check the box to allow window to manage the wireless connection and remove the dell utility

Im using the Windows Util. to manage wireless.

I just formatted the pc and still have the same problem

Try going into Network Connections, Right-click on the wireless icon, click on Wireless Networks. Under Preferred Networks, see if you have your SSID and if so delete it.
Close all the windows and refresh the available wireless networks to give it a try.
