[Wired] SD2008 GigE Switch - Noisy Fan

cseeman : I had a Linksys SD2008 Ver2.1 GigE Switch in which developed major speed problems (slow file copy). I got RMA and sent it back. They replaced it with a Ver1 (not shown on label but I think that's the case with Ver1). It's fast as it should be but the loud fan makes it useless for my small video post production room.

The SD2008 Ver2.1 was very quiet but faulty. Can/should I request another RMA to get a Ver2.1 replacement? Why would they send me a Ver1? Or, dump the SD2008 and go with another brand?

I have clients coming in and I simply can not do audio work with the SD2008 Ver1.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
