thanks d_l
im guessing here that ill still plug the cable into the Internet port on the wireless router?
is that port auto sensing or do i need to have a crossover cable?
can i leave it set to obtain an ip automatically since the sr41 is still setup as a dhcp server?

Simply plug a straight cable from one of the lan ports on your main router to one of the lan ports on the BEFW11S4.
You want a switch/hub - not a router...... You may want to assign the BEFW a static IP that does not conflict with your network so You can access the web gui.
If I remember correctly a limitation of the BEFW is the ethernet interfaces are 10Meg - not 10/100.
For less than 10$ you can buy a 10/100 switch new. I have an 8 port I paid $15 for. Much better solution that the old BEFW...... |
