1 edit | Spam (weakly) trying to discredit us
Some unsavory types that (we believe) have been financially hurt by our anti-scam, anti-phish efforts are attempting to discredit us by pumping out spam with our URL in it. The spam originates from hijacked PCs, it is badly written and sort of pointless.
There isn't anything we can do about this spam and we're sorry if you are wasting your time reading it - or reading this message after receiving it! |

| reply to justin I only hope it goes from continued and dramatic financial hurt to freedom hurt. Like as in a room 6 x 9 x 9.5 feet high that they have no key to open. Ah, thought he was saying they were forging emails to appear to come from DSLR. SPF/DKIM are designed to help cut down on that. -- The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt. -- Bertrand Russell |

Insder There never was a second I in my name Premium join:2005-04-27 Salem, MA | Right. I don't really believe in SPF and especially DKIM, but that is the general idea (not too many people using SPF and nearly nobody on DKIM yet). -- The one, the only, the Insder. :: Fighting phishing for life. |

A fair number of people use SpamAssassin. 1 edit | yeah it isn't that the email tries to come from our domain it is that the body acts like an advert to visit the site but for a sleazy reason (and with typically poor English). Making money by scamming people must be a lifestyle for the lazy - if you can really be a success at it without having to engage a native English speaker somewhere in your "organisation" to vet stuff before it goes out. |
