AOL Desktop browser?

Does anyone know if the new AOL Desktop has a browser built in? What browser is it? Mozilla based?

I just installed this approx. a month ago. Yes it has
a browser, their regular browser I believe which is IE, again I believe. I installed it because I could get no other AOL program, except AIM, to install on a 1 year old computer. It takes a little getting used to (different look) but so far I like it. Email is different from regular AOL as it is web based. Check it out but be sure and set a "Restore Point" before install. I do with almost all installs. HTH....

AOL 9.1 is much closer in layout/functionality to the older 9.0 programs. I have it running fine on my Vista machine.

Thanx for your reply. I agree with you as I like 9.1 & VR much better except for one small (major) problem. For almost 1 year I have been trying to install them on this system which was brand new then;
MPC (formerly Micron)

genuine Windows XP Professional

Intel Core2 Quad processor Q6600 (2.40GHz, 8MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB)

4GB Dual Channel DDR2 667 w/ECC 4-DIMMs

1TB Serial ATA-300 (2x500GB) 16MB Cache hard drive (7200RPM)

Integrated Serial ATA RAID Controller (RAID 1 requires 2 SATA Hard Drives)

16x Dual Layer DVD-R/RW, +R/RW

52x32x52x/16x CDRW/DVD Combo Drive w/ Nero Express

1.44MB 3.5" Floppy

512MB ATI Radeon X1300 PRO PCI-E Graphics Card (VGA, DVI-I, TV-OUT)

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Xtreme Music

Creative Inspire P5800 (5.1) Speaker System

Premium Speakers

Integrated Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) Network Connection

Amigo Wireless PCI NIC (Full Height)

Microsoft.Wireless.Optical Desktop

Mouse already included in Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop

ClientPro 585B Midtower

650 Watt Power Supply

Microsoft Office 2007 Basic Edition

Active Management Suite Desktop System Manager

At the end of the install error msg's I always get tell me basically I need more HD space and/or more memory which is a farce. DeskTop was finally only thing other then AIM that would install. I have spent much time on the TX and email with AOL & their final solutions were always install an older version which did not work either. Frustrating but...there obviously has to be a solution but neither I nor AOL Techs know what it is. Thanx again as I appreciate your reply.
