[Wired] WRT600N loosing speed with FIOS

I have recently decided to upgrade to the WRT600n, at least I thought it would be an upgrade. Originally was using WRT54GX.
It seems after about 6 hours my receive connection speed drops in half from 20mb/s to 9-10mb/s. Doing a disconnect and reconnect from my isp will bring me back up to full speed.
This never happened with the WRT54GX. I have the wrt600n configured exactly the same.
Linksys tech support had me try and set the mtu speed to manual and 1450 this made the internet connection useless. leaving it in manual and the speed set to 1492 the internet speed was ok but 6 hours later it dropped to half the original speed.
I have a feeling this is going to be a difficult troubleshooting event with Linksys especially when it seems to be a firmware issue.
Have any other FIOS customers experienced the same issue when using the WRT600N.

I noticed the same thing but with my upload speed. It would go from 1.8 mbps to 350 kbps. I returned the 600n and put back my 350N. Linksys quality really has diminished within the last 2 years. Very disappointing.

After having an unsucessful volly with linksys tech support. I was insructed to exchange the router for a replacment. Needless to say that the new router even though having a slightly older firmware version still has the same problem. Original WRT600N had firmware 1.01.35 build 5 the replacment has firmware 1.01.35 build 3.
I will try another volly with tech support and then probably go with a DLink router.
