Dear Valued GotSKY Unlimited Customer,
It has come to our attention that some of you may have received what has been identified as a ?phishing email? requesting GotSKY personal account information.
We would like to assure you that GotSKY Unlimited would never request any personal account information via email.
If you received an email requesting this information, please DO NOT respond to it in any way.
There are a number of ways to recognize a fraudulent or ?phising? email: 1. Misspelled words in both the Subject line and body of the email a. legitimate emails will not have misspellings 2. Urgent requests for personal information, such as user names and passwords a. may also include requests for account numbers, SSNs, birthdates, etc. 3. These emails often contain links that appear legitimate but are often ?spoofed? or forged a. NEVER click on a link that you suspect is not authentic
You should always report ?phising? or ?spoofed? emails. These emails should be sent to the following groups: 1. forward the email to reportphising@antiphising.org 2. forward the email to phishing-report@us-cert.gov 3. forward the email to the Federal Trade Commission at spam@uce.gov 4. forward the email to the ?abuse? or support email address at the company that is being spoofed (i.e. ?spoof@ebay.com?) When forwarding the spoofed messages, always include the entire original email with its original header information intact.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 800-221-3474, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm PST.
Thank you,
