A quick search of the linksys support forums shows people crying out for a firmware update for a multitude of issues. With the exception of a static dns issue, my wrt600n has been working fine for me.

Linksys/Cisco have dropped the ball on this one it seems.

It's not the first time they've done this and certainly not the last. There are unresolved issues in the official firmware for basically every Linksys router from the likes of the BEFW11S4 to the WRT54G/GS/GL, the current WRTxx0N routers.

 and the answer seems to be... dd-wrt. At least for my WRT54G/GL's and my WRT350N (or other 3rd party fw if you like and supports your particular hw). Maybe we need to assume that it was only the HW what we got in exchange for our hard earned $$.

Lindenhurst, NY		 The prob is that with the new wrt600n's (version 1.1) dd-wrt doesnty work due to it deactivatin the ethernet ports.
