| [Info] 2800 as a resedential gateway?
Anyone have any configuration examples of running internal voip system with one analog line into a FXO port? Is it possible to make all phones ring with incoming call to one FXO port? I can get as far as making outbound calls, but can't get any ephone to ring. Forgive me for not posting a config. Router is down at the moment. |

I compiled my own tutorial based on my experience. I wanted to do the same thing you are wanting and I could not find the answers in any one place. I had to read between the lines and get a little creative. I discuss the issue(s) hopefully in plain enough english and why the router does what it does and what the tricks are to get around it, at least with the IOS I am running.

| Ive used rolande's site a couple of times when configuring my 1760. Its a great resource. :-D
Ive got a VIC-2FXO and VIC-2FXS in my router registering SIP to my ISP for in and outbound calls. At this stage the FXO is only used to receive "legacy" calls from the PSTN. All outbound calls (except 000 for emergencies) are going via SIP. Looking at setting it up with a 7940G aswell, and Im sure his site will come in handy again when I try that. |

| reply to rolande rolande, is there any possibility that you're going to update your page to use SIP internally, and if not, why not? I have to confess that finding good CCME-SIP docs is a challenge, at best. |
