how can I find my first post?

How can I find my first post if I don't know a word that I used, and I need one word to do an all-time search.

thanks

Limit the search to forums you think you posted in earliest, and guess different words you might have used (like who your provider was, or what problem you were having when you came here, or similar things).

You can just put your name in now, and then just sort by date, oldest first.

I just tried that, for the whole site and for specific forums, and it did not work without a search term.

i tried what fatness did, as well as using my name for the search term (which gave me 4000 results)

I couldn't think of what I came here for (the thread about why you came to DSLR is why I was wondering)

But I do usually say thanks or thank you and that got me to within a month of my join date. In that old post I actually mention that I only joined a month ago!

It works for my pretty unique username:

Yeah, I tried your name, too. Maybe you had a posting tag or signature you can key off of.

The remembering what forums you hung out in in the beginning works, too.

nice!
that could be it...its only 6 days from when I joined.
but I think I remember joining to post a question..so there might be one on 11-10-2003.

what did you search to find that post? and wouldn't you know it, I didn't say thanks in advance in that post

cool.

ha!
I think this is the thread.
»Classic Hampsterdance??

I posted anonymously as oxyprazolam(my original username) on 11-9-2003 and joined the next day.

thanks!

if you knew me, the fact that I would ask for hampsterdance in my first thread sounds exactly right!
