WiMAX won't cover an entire city with a single tower (see Clearwire's availability, even in small cities) but it helps to reduce the number of towers needed.<br> </div>actually no, wimax was designed as a backhaul only technology that got twisted into a metro and suburbian type of AP and CPE type of setup.<br><br>WiMax is not, and never will be the way they had originally designed or rather hoped it would be.<br><br>its not ratified, and god only knows when it will be.<br>atleast here in the usa.]]></description>
