Even though we can't credit speculation as fact, we certianly cannot expect Apple to credit individuals who purchased a device only 10 or so months in existance a rebate because the products life cycle has ended.
On the same token, the rebate for early adopters was only the result of public outcry because no one predicted that the price would drop however many dollars, which was only speculation in and of itself because folks thought the price point was too high (although people were still willing to pay). |
