Problems with connection to server.

I was told that I should post this in here... still not sure if this is even the right place:

Hey folks,

I'm not 100% sure what im doing here, so sorry if I get it wrong, just hoping someone can help.

I just started to use (mt)'s DV hosting. Everything was going perfect, but when access plesk, the load times were reaching 20+ mins. The problem wasn't with (mt), because I was able to get perfect loads on another connection.

My ISP suggested I download Dr TCP, and change the FUP to 1460, however, that didn't fix the problem 100%.

Can anyone help please?

Required information:

Tweak test wouldn't download (Tried 5 Times), so used SpeedGuide.net Analyzer):

Does your ISP use a satellite uplink? What do your ping times look like to the plesk server you're having trouble accessing?

Hi Island Jeff,

Just thought I'd reply to let you know, this problem was actualy down to my ISP... After trying everything they knew, and getting many different people on the case, all it took was giving me a new IP, now I'm connecting to my server with no problems.

It isn't exactly as fast as I would have expected, though, its a hell of a lot better now.

However, to answer your question, I don't think it is a satellite uplink that is used. I have an antenna on my roof, that has a line of sight to a mast about 150 meters away. That all I know in relation to that... The connection is considered "Fixed Wireless".

Thank for your reply,
MrPixel.
