Ok.. Lets see. What's in the field (rather testing or deployed for customer use) right now? What is not ball and chained to CELL PHONE USE ONLY when it is sold to the masses? People keep trying to compare LTE to WIMAX. Just shows thier ignorance of the 2 technologies. LTE has yet to be marketed like WiMAX. Wimax isn't just about cell phones or PDA's. Having LTE or Wimax isn't going to make my voice calls go faster but that's where Wimax pulls away from LTE based on what is said. I see wimax replacing my cable modem. I see Wimax replacing my coax cable service. I see wimax replacing my L/L. I don't see this with LTE. I see LTE the same way I seen 2g to 3g. Wimax is much more then that and it appears from the above postings, too many people are hung up on the company who is providing the back bone for this network.
As far as the CEO going on TV? What's wrong with that? At least he doesn't need 100 people following him around to make a phone call.  |
