seems to work for me even with traffic unencrytped over those ports try Removing encryption Casaubon Also Radar You may wish to Show a screenshot with a legal Download instead of your current one ) for your own legal safety

Good idea ... that was open office wasn't it? I'm using Flashget v1.96. I have encrypted protocol checked and using port 80 in that screen shot.

Casubon When you made your changes did You Stop your torrent and restart it? U have to in order for port changes to take effect

AH!!!!!

Let's see if that'll work. But wait, I doubt it, I even closed Azureus and restarted it to no effect ...

well Closing it merely minimizes it generally. Unless u actually Choose shutdown. etc.. it just goes to your system tray. also if your running azure get the status monitor plugin to see the difference when your running on differing ports.

Yeah, I noticed it was minimized to the system tray, so I did close it, shut it down, the whole bit. Too bad it doesn't work for me.

I was throttled at 30kbs on utorrent but with azureus i'm below 10. (utorrent is shut down while i run azureus)

well i wish it would work for us all maybe it will I dunno I just Know for certain i can switch between throttled and not throttled by a change of port i imagine the Device throttling us is trying to avoid having to monitor every port otherwise it might Hinder Web/email traffic line it does to voip etc.. i find it takes up to 5 minutes before my torrent miraculously becomes uncapped. sometimes sooner. but i find port 21/Encrypted works best for me.

twjb i agree i would normally Not encrypt but It seems to work its noticeable after a few minutes of Throttling on port 21 it All of a sudden just skyrockets in speed like Whatever was Throttling hit an error or gave up.

Bell's throttling is based on tracking down encrypted connections. Try port 21 or 80 unencrypted and see what happens.

I've tried both ports: 21 and 80. Tried them unencrypted, with Plain and RC4 encryption. Strange :|

I too can switch from random port >50000 where I'm fully throttled to 30K/s and port 80 or 21 where after a few minutes full speeds start come in. I've tried on a public and private tracker with success as well.

looks good for me, tested with same torrent and locked at 30k

now I'm doing port 80 tcp/udp forward on my router, restarted Azureus and left it run for about 15 mins.

I'm currently doing around 200kB and climbing (while i write its up to 270)

did you use cryptoport? and Uncheck allow incoming unsecure connections? should be a check in topbox then rc4 then 2 unchecked boxes then 1 checked box. on the transport encryption tab. and I have port 21 on there and it works also i am using http seeding

I've been using port 80 for a week with no problems, using uttorent, a proxy and putty aes encryption+port forwarding.

Switched to port 80 for tcp/udp - Azerus gave some warnings and i just ignored.

Enabled encryption at with min. of RC4

and enabled 'User 'cryptoport' blah blah blah'

going at 89KB/s and climbing:):):)

Try port 443.
Negative on port 443 ... still throttled there at 30KB/s.

The question is can bell Defeat this or would it cause Undue Strain On them to DPI all web/Email traffic. when u think about it it makes sense that they would specify what ports to look at and since bells Theory is to make email/surfing faster Not interfering with these ports would be the ideal. for them
