So much for the final opener today. Wonder what they'll do to pissed off opening day ticket holders.
Edit: Looks like 7:30PM opener tomorrow. Might be rained out again since they're forecasting heavy showers and thunderstorms with a cold front tomorrow evening. Should be a fun one again.

One of the writers over at Newsday wrote that a fitting end for Shea Stadium & Yankee Stadium would be for both teams to go to the World Series this year, thus closing both stadiums with a final "hurrah" so to speak...
I would love to see that!

this shit happens to me every year.
opening day is SOOOO overrated yet i constantly get suckered to take it.
yes, the fact the new stadium doesnt have a dome is ridiculous in this day and age. i spend $30 on three beers in the stadium club (we got it this year), what a waste. $11 extra a ticket and the only time you need it is for rain outs and you sit there packed in like roaches.
im glad tomorrow is a night start but it is a pain in the ass.

And Spin, speak for yourself about Opening Day being overrated. Im so glad I cut out of work early to watch the game. This will be my 13th opener in a row (and I do count 1999, where I went to Opening Day II because for the opener, I was in the hospital). For a few years in the early 00's, the weather was unbelievably nice--I'm talking 80s and wicked sunny. Of course we've also had our share of shit weather, like for Glavine's very first Met start. Cold, rainy, and he SUCKED ASS. I'm still looking forward to April 8th, and Im gonna be wicked pissed if the weather doesnt hold out.
